“Nyandiwa, a small slice of the world on Lake Victoria. A diverse way of understanding Africa: you won’t find the directions on any Lonely Planet (even if you search well!), but only when walking through dirt roads, by listening to people’s stories, by buying at duka, by looking at works made by local artists, by meeting students of IKSDP College that are studying to become tomorrow’s teachers. Nyandiwa is a fortress of humanity hosting many volunteers, researchers, simple travellers over the years, by simply giving the idea that there is a place where, despite complexities, there’s a way to think, realize and build impossible dreams!”
(Giulia, volunteers 2013 and 2014)
